Taipei Restaurant Week|Design Taipei

A Culinary Ode to Taipei by the Chefs

Taipei's diversity and modernity are making it Asia's most vibrant "design capital."

On a contemporary stage, the juxtaposition of unfinished alleyways and modern architecture, the clash and fusion of neighborhoods, the social memory of the old city and emerging urban culture—all these elements combine to create a city that flexibly and spontaneously defines "design." Cuisine is Taipei's "flavor design."

This year's Taipei Restaurant Week, themed "Flavor Design," invites designers from the AGI (Alliance Graphics Group) and culinary creators to collaborate. They incorporate the city's imagery and colors into their dishes, combining techniques and ingredients from around the world, and using the city's collective memory as a design foundation. Embracing diversity and continuous experimentation, they create bold and innovative contemporary flavors, bringing the world to Taipei through design, and promoting Taipei's flavors to the world through design.
