The name AMEOI comes from the Meilong Hakka dialect of founder Jin's hometown in Kaohsiung, expressing surprise and admiration, similar to "Oh my!" or "Wow!" The aim is for every guest to leave AMEOI with the same sense of awe. Through cooking classes, AMEOI also promotes Hakka culture and cuisine, offering visitors hands-on experiences like grinding lei cha and stir-frying Hakka noodles, introducing Hakka heritage to a wider audience.
